Sourcing FAQ
Commercial terms, lead times, samples and paperwork — the questions our buyers ask most. If your question is not here, ask us directly; a real engineer answers.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
For standard stock items the MOQ is from 300 kg or 1,000 pieces, depending on the item. For non-standard parts made to drawing, the MOQ is 1,000 pieces for cold headed parts and 500 pieces for CNC turned parts, because tooling has to be made. Mixed items can be consolidated into one container or one pallet to help you reach a workable order size.
How long is the lead time?
Standard stock items ship in 15 to 25 days after deposit. Non-standard parts requiring tooling take 25 to 45 days, including sample approval. Hot dip galvanizing adds about 5 working days. During peak season (September to December) please add a week to be safe.
What are your payment terms?
Our standard terms are 30% deposit by T/T and the balance against copy of the bill of lading. We also accept L/C at sight for orders above USD 30,000, and we work with Trade Assurance on Alibaba for buyers who prefer platform protection on first orders.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes. Stock samples of standard items are free — you only pay the courier cost, which we refund in the first order. Custom samples are charged at cost, typically USD 30 to 150 depending on the part, and the tooling cost is credited back when the mass order reaches 1 ton. Custom samples take 7 to 12 days.
Which standards can you produce to?
DIN, ISO, EN, GB (Chinese national standard), ANSI/ASME, ASTM, JIS and BS. If your drawing references a standard we do not normally run, send it over — in most cases the tooling already exists in Yongnian and we can quote without new mould cost.
Can you do our own brand and packaging?
Yes, this is a large part of what we do for distributors. We produce colour boxes, printed cartons, barcode labels, pallet labels and stamped or laser-marked head markings to your artwork. Please send AI, PDF or high resolution PNG artwork, and allow 7 to 10 days for printing plates on the first order.
Do you support third-party inspection?
We welcome it and we do not manage the inspector. SGS, BV, TUV, Intertek and buyers' own agents are all fine. We arrange the sampling plan, provide the testing equipment and give access to the goods. Our only request is two working days notice so the goods are staged and packed for inspection.
What shipping methods and terms do you offer?
FOB Tianjin or Qingdao, CFR, CIF and DDP to most major ports. Sea freight is normal for full containers and LCL is available for smaller orders. Air freight and express (DHL, FedEx) suit urgent samples. We also ship by China–Europe rail to inland European destinations. Let us know your port and we will quote the whole landed cost, not just the ex-works price.
Can you supply certification for lifting and structural products?
For structural bolts we supply property class test reports and torque coefficient reports. For lifting hardware such as shackles, hooks and turnbuckles we provide proof load test certificates with the working load limit marked on the product. Please tell us which market the goods are going to, because certification requirements differ between the EU, the US and other regions, and we will confirm in writing what we can supply.
What if the goods do not match the specification?
We keep a reference sample of every item we ship. If a dispute arises, the reference sample and the batch inspection record are what we compare against, and if the goods are genuinely non-conforming we replace them or refund that portion. This is why we insist on sample approval for non-standard parts — it removes almost all of the argument before it starts.
Do you accept small trial orders?
Yes, and we would rather you start small. A trial order lets you check our dimensions, packaging and paperwork with limited risk, and it lets us learn your requirements properly. Many of our long-term accounts began with a single pallet.
How do I start?

Message us on WhatsApp or WeChat for the fastest answer, or use the enquiry form on the contact page. You will have a quotation with lead time and packing details within 12 working hours.
Still have a question?
Send it on WhatsApp or the enquiry form. Technical questions go to the workshop and come back with an answer, usually the same day.
